Integrated Sensor Suite (ISS)

The weather station installed on the roof of the pool building is owned, operated and maintained by resident Yuergen Boehmke with no cost to the association.
The Integrated Sensor Suite (ISS) is self contained and requires no external connections. The data collected (wind speed, wind direction, temperature, humidity and rainfall) is wirelessly transmitted to a control console located indoors every 2.5 seconds. The ISS is solar powered with an internal battery used once a capacitor has depleted its charge during the night or on cloudy days.
Weather Console and Micro Computer

The weather data is received by the wireless console and after being processed by the console sends the data to a Raspberry Pi micro computer which sends the information via the Internet to the Weather Underground website. The data is then displayed on the association's website in realtime. The widget used on the website requires Flash which is not supported by most mobile devices. Two separate mobile links are provided. One for a static (non-updating) display and a second for a dynamic (updated every 2.5 seconds) directly from the Weather Underground website.
The weather station is part of a network of over 135,000 worldwide personal weather stations.
